Arsinoe II 316 -270 BC

The Queen’s virtue was her free and educated mind. Her firm belief was that the perfect human being is the one with consciousness. Therefore, a wealthy person is not necessarily a person with true wealth because true wealth cannot exist without education. It is a mistake not to make this distinction, even if the majority accepts that mistake.

In Alexandria, she accomplished great things – building libraries and gymnasia for women and organizing cultural events. As a result,  Alexandria became a hub not only for business but also for culture and science worldwide.

In the days of her exile in Samothrace, Arsinoe brought the island to the highest standards of science and culture. She designed the Rotonda Arsinoio, the first cyclic building in the ancient world.
Thus we follow in Arsinoe’s footsteps with events that challenge the free spirit and allow leisure to unfold freely. In her new home, there is room for everyone who values the freedom to speak their mind while listening to the music of the gods.
The complete program will soon be published, and we look forward to many comrades-in-arms on the path of simplicity.
