Allow me first of all to express my gratitude for the invitation to speak to this distinguished audience (in this lovely city).
Greece is very close to my heart – both professionally and personally.
I recently had the pleasure of spending a short vacation/working holiday in this region. Apart from the scenic beauty and the generous hospitality, my talks with most of the Greek people I had the opportunity to meet, pointed to the well known problems, but also ended with the impression that you are a strong people, that you can cope, but that a clear perspective is needed.
